I'm not particularly attracted to the subject of astrology, because, I find it too confusing and all over the place. In addition to it, all the various calculations of planetary positions simply goes a 'tangent' over my head ( I'm anyways too bad in maths and calculations, of any type :s ). Dealing with and understanding all intricacies of the 9 planets, the 12 zodiac signs, the Sun, the Moon and the shadow planets ( or lunar nodes ) of Rahu and Ketu is not my cup of tea. I remember tearing off my astrological readings called 'sarani' because I was too frustrated for not being able to grasp it - and, that was long back ( I was in school then :| ). I had
since decided, I'll face fate/destiny head on and not rely on what my birth-charts said. I still am adamant to that belief, however, as I've grown older, I do realize at the back of my mind that there is indeed something thats controlling or pulling the strings after all in the background. And all the planetary positions do indeed affect each living being's life on earth some way or the other. But, although the subject is only recently starting to fascinate me a bit
( just a bit, mind you ;-), I do still believe in doing my own thing, my way; and not be conscious about where my planets are positioned at what time or what I should do or what not. I'm not overtly obsessed about my birth charts ( damn, I don't have one anymore, lol ) like some people are following every prescribed ritual, wearing gem stones and what not. It may work for them, but, I like to live free from such worries. What has to happen will happen, and leaving it to God and not doing any harm to anyone
intentionally is my sole mantra. So, life is good so far ( yea, it has challenges and the lows; but I accept it all, knowing nothing is permanent ). But, why am I writing this post then? Well, something caught my attenton of late and I'm not able to control my urge to understand it more deeply. Of course, I can still be as nonchalant as I've always been, but this one has really caught my imagination, and how.
The Pichaas Yog - Sounds terrifying right? Pishaas means devil/evil/demonic entity or malevolent spirit - representing everything bad and negative. So, when it is said that from Mar 29 we are entering the Pichaas Yog, my hair nearly stood straight. This was the first time I was hearing it. Well, for one - its a rare astrological event that happens every couple of years, so, its not spoken about much. But, coincidently, this time it is going to happen from Mar 29'25, and that has sent ripples of fear around. And the internet is abuzz with all types of hoo-haas around it. Its supposedly a cursed time. The day 29th itself is very unique. Its not just a Saturday, but also an Amavasya or new moon day and a solar eclipse will occur as well. All these makes it a compelling scenario, with such diverse things happening all at once.
Whats the Pichaas Yog? Well, its when Saturn changes his position ( to Pieces from the current position of Aquarius ) and comes to where shadow planet Rahu already is. Rahu changes zodiac every 18 month, while Jupitar takes 1 month and Saturn takes 2 and half months. When the trio comes together its the Pischaas Yog, particularly, Saturn and Rahu. Its called a conjunction when two or more planets come together. ( Another Pischaas Yog is when Mars comes with Ketu and influences the Moon ). They i.e Saturn and Rahu cross paths for about 2-3 months before going their way in opposite directions. The moon comes in the way and is influenced. Thus, the impact is severe...specially in couple of zodiacs - the water signs ( cancer, virgo and pisces primarily ). Some zodiacs may however see extreme good in this period too. Its a duration of about two and half months with a time of 15-20 days at start and end each added in - ( effects and after-effects before and after the actual event ). An average human aura is about 2 metres wide, a planet's aura as huge as saturn's would be unimaginable; hence, effects starts showing days in advance and leaves a mark after exit. And when main event occur i.e the transit itself, its when the real bad things happen. Generally, Saturn ( associated with karma/hard work and justice ) and Rahu ( associated with ambition, creativity/desires also cruelity and illusions ) are said to be buddies - but when these two malefic buddies get together they can cause havoc and destruction. And while generally, Rahu follows Saturn, during this time however, Saturn follows Rahu - who is bit unpredictable - thus complicating things further. All kinds of negatives happen during this time. Mental restlessness/disturbances/depression/instability, conflicts, anger, agression, nervousness, Challenges in Career, Finances, Health, Relationships. accidents, negative entities, nightmares et all. In short, its the most inauspicious and dangerous planetary position and time period; and, all problems are amplified manifold during this duration. And with Moon too entangled in all these water related mega-destruction awaits. Even earthquakes and tsunamis can erupt. As I'm writing this post, there has already been a 7.7 intensity earthquake in Myanmaar/Burma on 28th itself. An Omen of whats to come?
So, the upcoming 50 days are said to be very dangerous and an impending bad time ( for almost everyone and the world itself ) and one is advised to be aware of it and stay calm. Don't try business ventures or undertake anything risky; and in personal matters too don't let anger, ego and other negative emotions rule roost. Many remedies have been suggested, but the crux of it is just don't let negativity enter your life ~ be it thinking capacity or decision making, or any other actions. Try to stay positive and vibe positive all the time. If something bad is happening, be aware that the dreaded 'pichaas yog' is going on and let the bad phase pass, instead of panicking, getting hyper and doing something drastic or impulsive. Spend time in prayers, chant the recommended mantras or do donations/charity. Feed poor or animals. Practice fasting and visit holy places like temples. Live a clean life with clean habits, and keep surroundings clean by getting rid of clutter. Till May 18th I'm going to observe what all happens minutely and will update how my 'pisaach yog' lasted. Would look forward to knowing how yours did as well :-)
